Top Ten of 2016: Best Book Boyfriends of 2016

It's almost the last day of the Top Ten of 2016. 
Today is for book boyfriends. I feel like cheating here, because even though I have many book boyfriends, this year there were only 2 that I loved, truly madly deeply **sings that Savage Garden's song**

Gansey from The Raven King. 
Seriously. I didn't love anyone as much as these two. Don't ask me why because even I don't know. But, oh, how I wish they were real.

   

Since they are my favorite book boyfriends of this year, I'm counting them as #1, 2, 3 and 4 spots.

My Fic Boyfriend #21: James Murphy

 

 My fic boyfriend is a weekly segment or a follow up to "My book boyfriend" that was hosted by Missie at The Unread reader. Sadly, that meme stopped but I loved it enough to follow it here at The reader lines.

I had a lot of "My Fic Boyfriend" posts saved in my computer, but somehow I always forgot to post them. So, I decided today was the day to come back to my book boyfriend obsessions.

My Fictional Boyfriend of this week is James Murphy from The Program and The Treatment by Suzanne Young. 

Sloane always said James was hot and cold, but he also was funny and sweet. And you know, it's really hard for someone to try to be funny when there's depression everywhere, maybe that's why I loved him more.
If you haven't read this amazing duology I hope you do, just because of him.

I´m currently reading Timeless, the book 3 in the Transcend Time Saga, I have to say that I didn´t remember Remembrance a lot, but when I started reading Timeless, I couldn't believe I forgot about Drew, that boy  I loved before so much. Hugh! I can't find a better introduction. Well, I finished reading Sweet Evil 2 days ago and I`M IN LOVE! 

You girls, have to read the book  and meet Kai.

 He was smoking hot. As in H-O-T-T, hott. I’d never understood until that moment why girls insisted on adding an extra t. This guy was extra-t-worthy.

 “What are you doing?”
“I...” He appeared to have no idea himself. “I wanted to see your freckle.”
A vulnerable tenderness flashed across his face, more painful to see than the coldness. It took every ounce of strength I had not to
beg for one last kiss. As fast as his expression had softened, it was back to stone again.
“What do you want from me, Kai?”
“For starters?” His voice lowered to sexy, dangerous depths. “I want to introduce myself to every freckle on your body.”

 

"...a killer musician, he gets tons of chicks, his dad’s loaded, and if that wasn’t enough, he’s got a friggin’ English accent!"

Good gracious, he was sexy—a word that had not existed in my personal vocabulary until that moment. This guy was sexy like it was his job or something

“Which was your favorite place?” I asked.

“I’ve never been terribly attached to anyplace. I guess is would have to be … here.”

I stopped mid-chew and examined his face. he wouldn’t look at me. He was clenching his jaw, tense. Was he serious or was he teasing me? I swallowed my bite.

“The Texas panhandle?” I asked.

“No.” he seemed to choose each word with deliberate care. “I mean here in this car. With you.”~

I love this guy cuz he is sweet, looked sad and love music. I just read the Shiver and Linger but by far he is my favorite character of the books.

Adam Kent is the lovely and strong character from the book Shatter me.
I love him, there´s no more to say. He´s sweet, handsome, strong and pasional!

I watch him walk away with the only family he has left and I know why Adam joined the army.
I know why he suffered through being Warner's whipping boy. I know why he dealt with the horrifying reality of war, why he was so desparate to run away, so ready to run way as soon as possible. Why he's so determined to fight back.
He's fighting for so much more than himself

 

 He whispers, "You have no idea how much I've thought about you. How many times I've dreamt"-he takes a tight breath- "how many times I've dreamt about being this close to you." He moves to run a hand through his hair before he changes his mind. Looks down. Looks up. "God, Juliette, I'd follow you anywhere. You're the only good thing left in this world."

 

He smiles a small smile. His lips twitch like he's trying not to laugh. His eyes soften as they study my own. "There's very little I wouldn't do for you." 

 

He takes my hand. Intertwines our fingers. Offers me a smile that manages to kiss my heart.

He looks at me with so much emotion I nearly crack in half.

And he's kissing me.
Once, twice, until I've had a taste and realize I'll never have enough.


 

"Dude, you ran off with the crazy chick! You ran off with the psycho girl!" he's calling after Adam. "I thought they made that shit up. What the hell were you thinking? What are you going to do with the psycho chick? No wonder Warner wants you dead - OW, MAN, what the hell - "
"She's not crazy. And she's not deaf, asshole."

  My Adam is played by actor and singer Jaread Leto. Sorry if you don´t think he could be a perfect Adam, but it was like hell! so difficult to fin someone that looks like this gorgeous character.

This week my book boyfriend is Augustus waters from The fault in our stars by John Green, I just read this book last week and I can say I totally in love with this sweet and smart boy.  My book boyfriend of my 14th week is the sweet, sexy and brave Four from Divergent by Veronica Roth. While reading Insurgent I just remembered how much I like him.

  "I ignore my fear" he says. "When I make decisions, I pretend it doesn't exist."

I feel his laughter against my side, his nose sliding along my jaw, his lips pressing my ear.

I laugh a little. "Then you should know better."
"Fine," he says. "Then I love you.” 

I had a hard time picturing Fou, cuz I don´t think anyone looks like him. But for now, someone a little similar to my mental image was Shiloh Fernandez.

Hi girls! Well, since I´m in the last month of the Soul Screamers Reading Challenge, lately I have been just reading those books. So, this time, after a long, long , loooong time of doubts, I decided, that my book boyfriend of this week is Nash Hudson... yeah, I love Tod as well, but cannot help it!  I know Nash ruined everything after book 3, but I still love him a lot.

  “I don’t have you, and without you, it feels like what I do have doesn’t matter.” 

“I’m not supposed to feel the fire. I’m not supposed to want it. But I do. I want you, Kaylee like I’ve never wanted anything. Ever. I want the fire. I want the heat, and the light, and I want the burn.”

What I do know is that you need to relax. Think about something over than death" ...
"What should I be thinking about?"My own voice came out lower, my words so soft I could barely hear them.
"Me," he whispered back, leaning so that his lips brushed my ear as he spoke. His scent enveloped me, and his cheek felt scratchy against mine. "You should be thinking about  me."

 He raised one eyebrow, and his voice came out hoarse. "Who says I want to talk?" ... I let him kiss me - until my dad tapped on the window at my back.

*Sigh* I know, too good to be true! My Nash is played by Ian Sumerhalder, but the Ian with black hair and dark eyes.

My book boyfriend for this week is Prince Kaito from Cinder. I really enjoyed reading about him, he was one of my favorite parts of the book.

“Was it all in my head? A Lunar trick?”
Her stomach twisted. “No.” She shook her head, fervently. How to explain that she hadn’t had the gift before? That she couldn’t have used it against him? “I would never lie—”
The words faded. She had lied. Everything he knew about her had been a lie.
“I’m so sorry,” she finished, the words falling lamely in the open air.
Kai peeled his eyes away, finding some place of resignation off in the glistening garden. “You’re even more painful to look at than she is.” 

 

 

“Cinder twisted up her lips. "Do you think it could have a virus?"
"Maybe her programming was overwhelmed by Prince Kai's uncanny hotness.”

“Stars, Cinder, if I’d known you were going to embargo me for asking you on a date, I wouldn’t have dared.”

 

 

 

 

 Her breath snaged as Kai leaned forward, so close she was sure for a heartbeat he meant to kiss her. She froze, a wave of panic crashing into her, and barely managed to look up.

Instead of kissing her, he whispered, "Imagine there was a cure, but finding it would cost you everything. It would completely ruin your life. What would you do?"

 

 

My Prince Kai is played by Korean singer Kim Hyun Joong, to be honest, not because he reminds me of Kai, but he´s the only Asian guy I really like, and if I´m not wrong I remember Kai was/or look like Asian.
