Dare you to by Katy McGarry is a rollercoaster of acknowledgment about life and love. Every reader will be trapped in this story about a girl who no longer trusts in a better world. This will lead you to a page turner and brilliant plot and a breathtaking romance. Even better that the first installment by this author. 

Addicting plot, an amazing writing and complicatedly incredible characters, I highly recommend this book to everyone.

The feelings.

For someone who didn’t like the main character as a secondary character, it was a surprise to end up not just “liking” Beth but “loving” her point of view.

I was reluctant to read about her, though I read a speak peek in the ARC of Pushing the limits. Beth just wasn’t someone I liked.

So, I have to say that if you’re like me, you have to give Beth a chance. I mean it.

DARE YOU TO is not just about her, it’s about Ryan, a boy you have to meet. Even about Isaiah and Noah (yeah, you’ll see him again). That’s why at the beginning my feelings were suspicious and in the end it was just love.

The main characters:

Beth: If you already read Pushing the limits, then you already meet Beth, maybe you didn’t like her, the way I did. But you and I were so wrong about judging her, because you we didn’t really know why she acts like that. Beth is so much better than that rude girl we met. She deserves a chance and I’m so glad that the author gave it.

Ryan: In the other side, this is the first time you’ll see Ryan, but he make his way to your heart so easily. Ryan is the reason why good boys aren’t old fashioned. He’s not just the typical good/popular guy. He’s way more than that.

Isaiah: How could one just not like him? He’s the same boy you met before, yet, here you can see a part of him that you didn’t know and this is exactly the time when you realize that he doesn’t belong with Beth.

The rest of characters: I wish I could tell you more about them but that could be a little spoiler-ish. And I think that they are worth discovering. All of them are realistic, well created and necessary for the plot.

The romance.

Oh, what a wonderful thing is the romance. It wasn’t really “hot-hot” it was kind and sweet and so beautifully real. One broken heart meets a gentle one… Just PERFECT!

I loved that this wasn’t a blind insta-love. Beth even fought against it. It made the romance more real. It made it trustable.

The ending.

Beautiful, fitting, strong, and cruel. This is the kind of ending that gives you hope, that shows you what real life is. It makes you think that sometimes the things that hurt the most are the right things to do.
