Jessie Boone is a self
proclaimed bad boy and doesn’t march to the beat of anyone’s drum, but
his own. Growing up in less than desirable circumstances has made him no
stranger to the hard knock life and his determination to leave it
behind is fierce. When he finds himself transferred to East Franklin
High School, he sees his opportunity to use his athletic ability to snag
a college football scholarship, but Forbes Henderson, the player Jessie
means to replace isn’t giving up his spot willingly. In fact, Forbes is
willing to go to extreme measures to retain his place as first string
quarterback. When Forbes’ malicious plan to injure his replacement
fails, Jessie is furious and determined to show him he messed with the
wrong person; not only is he going to take the position of first string
quarterback, he’s going to take his girl, too...
My POV.
Going under is one of those books you love at first sight.
We started reading about Jessie and the way he is presented to his new school. We meet him as a strong and talented player.
There’s no way I can say how much I liked those lines, those words all the phrases spoken by Jessie’s mouth… Gah! I just love him and I know a better way to introduce him to all of you.
And then I met Claire, I think is typical. Everyone thinks the perfect girl is fragile, when she isn’t. That was Claire a strong and fierce girl.
The summary present a very awesome description of what will find in the book, it was truly realistic and you can read about real situations in school days.
Revenge, love, betrayal… what else can you ask for?
The writing style is fluid and fast. I never needed to take notes or re-read to catch the story, its essence.
The characters were cute and well created. I liked them all… yeah, even Henderson, the school's asshole (sorry!)
It’s been a while since I don’t read a contemporary book and this makes me REMEMBER why I loved some of them so much.
There were bad boys? Yeah, I love bad boys and Jessie was one of those. Not the stupid brainless bad boy, but the sweet and beautiful one.
I know is not okay to make comparisons between characters, much less if those characters are way too different. But Jessie reminds me of Ethan (The lost Prince). Weird, right? But he did. And if YOU loved Ethan you’ll love Jessie….
Okay, it was all about Ethan, I could help it, but I think I just share with you a new perspective of why you HAVE to read this book.
I must to say that the emotional part of Going Under was a very important part of the book development. I give it not 4 roses, but 4.5 and all was because of the ending. I liked it, but I wish I could be different.
Just saying!
Just saying!
About the Author.
I am a wife, mother
of two daughters and a labor and delivery nurse. I have recently added
Paranormal Romance Writer to my list of things to keep be busy, but I am
ecstatic to release my debut novel, Blood of Anteros, the first book inThe
Vampire Agápe Series.
Like others that
enjoy a great story of paranormal romance, I am easily bored by the tale of an
obtainable, ordinary romance and was inspired to create The Vampire Agápe
Series. When I am not tied up with my family or delivering babies, I am working
feverishly on the second book in The
Vampire Agápe Series.
