Life can change in an instant, and no one understands that better than Aura. It’s been almost a year since her boyfriend tragically died. She’s finally letting go of Logan’s violet-hued ghost, but not her search to uncover the truth about her past.
As the first in a generation that can see ghosts, Aura is convinced she has a connection to the Shift. She’s trusted Zachary, ever patient and ever by her side, with all that she knows. But when the government threatens his life in an attempt to learn Aura’s secrets, she will stop at nothing to protect herself and the one she loves...even if that means betraying her own heart.

My POV

Well, this is the first time I write my thoughts about a book in the Shade Trilogy –in English. I had my review of Shade and Shift in my Spanish Blog, but not here simply because I couldn’t find the perfect words in a foreign language to describe how much I loved these books.

The things I loved.

-    This was the best conclusion I could ever ask. All the mysteries were solves, all my questions were answered.
-    It had a wonderful romance. Soul mates. Two persons that belong together.
-    The entire plot, the mysteries, the drama, the development.
-    Those fan-freaking-tastic characters. They were all real, complex, and pure.
-    The hottest crush alive (yep, I’m talking about Zach)
-    The strong and smart heroine. Her voice, her attitude, her heart.

What I didn’t like.
-    Missing Logan
-    Missing Logan
-    Missing Logan
-    Missing Logan
-    Missing Logan
I don’t usually talk about the author when I write my thoughts but this time I had to do it.
Jeri’s writing is pure-feeling. Her love for music and the way she put it in paper is so deep and beautiful it aches.
No other author (well, except Cassie Clare) had make me feel this way before. Because Jeri’s writing REALLY MAKES ME FEEL.
Her words lead me to sadness, happiness, jealousy, inspiration, tear…
Oh, For God’s sake! Jeri’s my rock star!
And above all those things, here in Shine, I’m very grateful to her because she didn’t forget Logan, even though he was just a memory.

Reasons why you have to buy it!

-    You’ll meet the most perfect and best love triangle ever!
-    You’ll meet awesome and beautiful characters!
-    You’ll find a hauntingly WONDERFUL read!
-    You’ll fall in love with this book.
Amen!

Ha! I had to put it separate, you know. I have to say now, here in this language: I LOVE LOGAN.
He stole my heart since the first book. He went straight to my soul. And now, missing him that bad in Shine, I just realized –suddenly- that LOGAN IS DEAD!! T__T
That broke my heart and all the memories about him make me love him even MORE.
I should have say that so far, Logan is my most favorite character.
Ja! He told ‘Step out’ to my second: Jace!
This 3rd book was the re-confirmation of how great these characters are… yep, especially Logan. I cried at every mention of him.

"Logan always wanted everyone he loved to be happy, and thought it was his own personal failure if they weren’t"
"Whenever Logan and I had fought, he’d quickly switch to suck-up mode to try to stop me from being mad at him, even when I was at fault. All he cared about was harmony"

Special rating, six roses, given because it deserves it!
