My Never-ending Booknotes: Lola and the boy next door

My Never-ending Booknotes is a weekly meme hosted by April @ Books 4 Juliet  where we can share our favorites quotes or conversation from a book.
If you want to join, just go HERE and have fun.

Yep, that's right! My quotes of this week are from Lola and the boy next door.
This book really surprised me, coz I just thought it was just "romance" and end. But while reading it, I just realized there were a lot of good quotes about life.
You must to check it out.

"I know you aren't perfect. But it's a person's imperfections that make them perfect for someone else."~Cricket

"It's easy to talk about things we hate, but sometimes it's hard to explain exactly why we like something."

"Life isn’t about what you get, it’s about what you DO with what you get."

"History books are filled with lies. Whoever wins the war tells the story."

"It's maddening how someone so easy to read can be so impossible to understand."

"When you're asleep, no one asks you to do anything. No one expects anything of you. And you don't have to face any of your troubles."

  1. Oh Lis, I love those quotes! You absolutely picked the perfect ones! I love Lola and the Boy Next Door... You had me thinking about picking up Anna and the French Kiss next time :)

Thank you Lis! Hugs from me!

  2. If there is something I really loved about this book, is the writing (the only thing tough). There are many quotes that I loved with all my heart - my favorite is:
”Because that’s the thing about depression. When I feel it deeply, I don’t want to let it go. It becomes a comfort. I want to cloak myself under its heavy weight and breathe it into my lungs. I want to nurture it, grow it, cultivate it. It’s mine. I want to check out with it, drift asleep wrapped in its arms…”

But.. as you know I hated Lola too much to enjoy this book. And it's really a shame. Hope to love the next one though.

Anyways, I loved all the quotes you've mentioned!
