My quotes of today are from The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa... I'm reading The Lost Prince, and of course, it reminds me a lot why I love The Iron Fey Series.
If you have read The Iron Daughter and didn't liked it (like me!) don't get frustrated and read The Iron Queen, it's amazing!!!
“My name is Ashallyn'darkmyr Tallyn, third son of the Unseelie
Court...Let it be known--from this day forth, I vow to protect Meghan
Chase, daughter of the Summer King, with my sword, my honor, and my
life. Her desires are mine. Her wishes are mine. Should even the world
stand against her, my blade will be at her side. And should it fail to
protect her, let my own existence be forfeit. This I swear, on my honor,
my True Name, and my life. From this day on..." His voice went even
softer, but I still heard it as though he whispered it into my ear. "I
am yours.” ~ Ash
“If I'd thought I would regret it," he said calmly, "I never would have
made that oath. I knew what becoming a knight would mean. And if you
asked me again, the answer would still be the same." He sighed, framing
my face with his hands. "My life... everything I am... belongs to you.” ~ Ash
Ahhhhhhhhhh! I ADORE Ash! So, so much! And I loved this book. It was my very favorite of the whole series. I just finished The Lost Prince and loved it too! I wish their had been more Ash in it, but I have the feeling I'll get to see more of him as the series goes on. Thanks for sharing those awesome Ash quotes. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Melissa! I hope I can finish The Lost Prince soon!
ReplyDeleteYou picked some awesome lines there. I loved both of those! I haven't read The Iron Queen, but I'm hoping that I could read it soon. I only read the first book and really enjoyed it. If Ash is like that in the rest of the books, then I bet I'll love him too! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice quote! I'm looking forward to reading this book now. I need to finish The Iron King first though. :p
