- TBRIC is hosted by April@ Books4Juliet Dani@ Refracted light, and Ayanami@ Whatever you can still betray
The goal of this challenge is to help each other (fellow readers and bloggers) manage our enormous and constantly growing TBR (To-Be-Read) List. The rules are simple and everyone is encouraged to participate. It does not force you to commit to more than what you can manage to read in a week or so, but participants are encouraged to read at least one book within a week. You are free to choose the book you want to read and commit to this challenge. You may post your entry every Saturday, at the frequency of your choice--EVERY WEEK or EVERY TWO WEEKS. However, we will sponsor this event regularly every Saturday.
Rules.
1. Post the book(s) you committed to read in your last TBR Intervention post and tell us something about it. Did you finish it? Did you enjoy it or not? Post the link to your review (if you have one).
2. Post a book that you want to read and already own. Pick something that has been sitting on your shelf for too long now (6 months or longer). Commit to read the book in the next couple of days or week.
3. Grab the TBR Intervention Button and post it on your blog sidebar so you will be constantly reminded of the challenge, making it easier for you to commit. This will also encourage other readers/bloggers/visitors to join the challenge.
4. Add the link to your post in the Linky below and make sure to visit the other blogs. Comment, encourage, and spread the love to our fellow readers.
Last week TBRIC.
Last week I committed to read Wither by Lauren Di Stefano. And I'm so really glad to say I'm done with this one. We are on vacations of Holly Week (not for me). So, I've been running between my job and the church, and I didn't know if I'll be able to read some but. But I did.
Last week TBRIC.
Thanks God I´m done with this book. And all I can say is I LOVE IT!
This is my favorite from The Iron Fey series, it´s what I call romantic and powerful.
I got the ending I was looking for.
Loved it a lot. You have to read it!
Anyway here you are my review.
This week intervention.
Before I fall by Lauren Oliver.
I wanted to read this book since... like 2 weeks ago. I even started it, but after a few pages I can´t go on. And I don´t really understand why, because I was liking it.
I think I´m just having problems with my reading lately!
Hope that change this week!

Hola Lis, One book you loved and one that was hard to get through--reading sure has its ups and downs. Thank you for the follow on Twitter.
ReplyDeleteI completely loved the Iron Knight too. I'm not sure which was my favorite The Iron Queen or the Iron Knight because I really loved Meghan's voice and I missed her in The Iron Knight but the chance to have a whole story in Ash's voice was AMAZING. It makes it hard to choose between them.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Before I Fall I've heard good things about it, but it's another in the list of ones I want to eventually check out. Maybe if you just decide everyday I'll read such and such amount of pages you'll eventually find that point where you can't put it down. If not as long as you read the amount of pages you committed to you will finish it eventually and by your deadline and you can always read other stuff that appeals to you while you're doing so. Good luck with the reading funk, I completely get it. Personally I think it always help to go back to some tried and true favorites during a reading funk because those are the books that will remind you why you love to read so much.
The Iron Knight. Isn't it just amazing? It was great having to read from Ash's point of view and to finally read what's happening inside his head only to find a soul that's quite vulnerable and endearing.
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot of good things with Before I Fall. Sadly, I haven't read any of Lauren Oliver's books yet though I'm itching to read Delirium.
Oh YAY! So glad you loved The Iron Knight! I'm sorry, you've kind of lost interest in Before I Fall. Hopefully it'll pick back up for you soon, and you'll be able to get back into it! :)
ReplyDeleteOh Lis, I TOTALLY understand about "having problems with reading lately" :P You know how I've been these past few weeks, and to tell you the truth, it was frustrating. I guess the word sticks to me like crazy lately... I'm really trying to avoid that word now...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm glad that you loved the Iron Fey series. I am jealous that you were able to finish the whole series. I don't know when I'll be able to get through Iron Knight :< You know how our TBR works, keeps on piling up and it's hard to choose what to read.
Good luck again with Before I Fall. =)
