Waiting on Wednesday: The Problem with Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine

 What I'm waiting for...

For some people, silence is a weapon. For Mallory “Mouse” Dodge, it’s a shield. Growing up, she learned that the best way to survive was to say nothing. And even though it’s been four years since her nightmare ended, she’s beginning to worry that the fear that holds her back will last a lifetime.

Now, after years of homeschooling with loving adoptive parents, Mallory must face a new milestone—spending her senior year at public high school. But of all the terrifying and exhilarating scenarios she’s imagined, there’s one she never dreamed of—that she’d run into Rider Stark, the friend and protector she hasn’t seen since childhood, on her very first day.

It doesn’t take long for Mallory to realize that the connection she shared with Rider never really faded. Yet the deeper their bond grows, the more it becomes apparent that she’s not the only one grappling with the lingering scars from the past. And as she watches Rider’s life spiral out of control, Mallory faces a choice between staying silent and speaking out—for the people she loves, the life she wants, and the truths that need to be heard.

Why am I waiting on this book? It's been years since I read my last book by JLA, and though I loved the Covenant series, somehow, I don't know how, I got tired of her writing. So, I didn't finish the Lux series and I couldn't finish Cursed. But I feel this one is more like my cup of tea. Who know? Maybe I start loving her books again.

What about you? Have you ever got tired of someone's writing?

  1. I am looking forward to reading this book as well! It's been quite some time since I've read a JLA book. I hope you enjoy this book when you read it!

Have a fantastic week, Lis. :)

  2. I haven't really grown tired of someone's writing but... I'm not much into JLA's writing except with her dark elements trilogy. LOVE Roth, tho I've yet to read book 2 or 3 (SOON, once I find time).
This book sounds nice, but I'm still waiting for more reviews (like yours!) to see if I should pick up or not. :)

  3. I have gotten tired of someone's writing, but usually if I take a break from them then later I'm okay. This one does look great!

Hey! Thanks for stopping by! Please leave a link to your blog so I can go say hello :)
