Book Review: Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowley

Graffiti Moon
Author: Cath Crowley
Pages: 272
My Rating: 6 stars/ Special rating.
Summary
Senior year is over, and Lucy has the perfect way to celebrate: tonight, she's going to find Shadow, the mysterious graffiti artist whose work appears all over the city. He's out there somewhere—spraying color, spraying birds and blue sky on the night—and Lucy knows a guy who paints like Shadow is someone she could fall for. Really fall for. Instead, Lucy's stuck at a party with Ed, the guy she's managed to avoid since the most awkward date of her life. But when Ed tells her he knows where to find Shadow, they're suddenly on an all-night search around the city. And what Lucy can't see is the one thing that's right before her eyes.

This was such a wonderful book!
I have to thank Ari @ Reading After Midnight for always recommending the most awe-inspiring stories.
I don’t really know why it took me so long to finally read Graffiti Moon. The moment I started reading I knew I’d love it, and I did.
I read it in a few hours because it’s a very short book and it was impossible to put it down.
There was something magical about Graffiti Moon. It was the writing, the plot, and conversations.
It was funny and delightful.

It all takes place in one night. And one night was all I needed to fall in love with the characters.
Ed, Lucy, Leo, Jazz, Dylan and Daisy…
And last but no less, Shadow and Poet. They were mystery for the girls, but a thrilling reality for the readers.

I love graffiti, and I love glass. Maybe you love them, too, or maybe not, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy this fantastic story.  Because Graffiti Moon is art. The characters are art, the writing is art, the things they do are art.
I am officially in a book hangover since I read it.

If you’re a fan of contemporary books and Aussie brilliance, this is a must read.

“Every time he looked at me I felt like I'd touched my tongue to the tip of a battery. In art class I'd watch him lean back and listen and I was nothing bust zing and tingle. After a while, the tingle turned to electricity, and when he asked me out my whole body amped to a level where technically I should have been dead. I had nothing in common with a sheddy like him, but a girl doesn't think straight when she's that close to electrocution.”

  2. This is one of the first books I was approved for on Netgalley as a blogger and it's one of my all-time favorites. I love it so much! Maybe for nostalgia I should go back and re- read it.
