Waiting on Wednesday: Raging star & Sunrise

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine.

I love the series Dust lands by Moira Young and Ashfall by Mike Mullin and I had NO IDEA that the covers of both ending-series books were already revealed.
I love the covers and I. CAN'T. WAIT. TO. READ. THEM!
So, of course these books I'm waiting this wednesday!

Saba is ready to seize her destiny and defeat DeMalo and the Tonton...until she meets him and he confounds all her expectations with his seductive vision of a healed earth, a New Eden. DeMalo wants Saba to join him, in life and work, to create and build a healthy, stable, sustainable world…for the chosen few. The few who can pay.
Jack’s choice is clear: to fight DeMalo and try to stop New Eden. Still uncertain, her connection with DeMalo a secret, Saba commits herself to the fight. Joined by her brother, Lugh, anxious for the land in New Eden, Saba leads an inexperienced guerilla band against the powerfully charismatic DeMalo, in command of his settlers and the Tonton militia. What chance do they have? Saba must act. And be willing to pay the price.

The Yellowstone supervolcano nearly wiped out the human race. Now, almost a year after the eruption, the survivors seem determined to finish the job. Communities wage war on each other, gangs of cannibals roam the countryside, and what little government survived the eruption has collapsed completely. The ham radio has gone silent. Sickness, cold, and starvation are the survivors' constant companions.
When it becomes apparent that their home is no longer safe and adults are not facing the stark realities, Alex and Darla must create a community that can survive the ongoing disaster, an almost impossible task requiring even more guts and more smarts than ever — and unthinkable sacrifice. If they fail . . . they, their loved ones, and the few remaining survivors will perish.

  1. Sadly, I have not read either series, but they've both been on my TBR for ages. Guess I really should get to them asap!

  2. I have Blood Red Road and Rebel Star, but I've read neither! It's quite sad, actually. I haven't read any of the books in the other series either. BUT, I hope you read and enjoy both of these books! :)

    Thanks for visiting my blog!

  3. I read Blood Red Road a couple years ago and adored it but I still haven't gotten around to read the second. I agree with the covers, really beautiful especially when placed on the shelf with all the different coloured spines in the series! Love YA covers.

  4. Both covers are great! I've been very curious about both series since I've heard some great things about them both. Now that the final books are coming out soon-ish, I'll wait to binge read the full trilogies!

  5. I'm excited and anxious about Raging Star. I was very upset by some things in book 2 but obviously I want to know how everything ends!
