My Review

The murmurings
Author: Carly Anne West
Pages: 384
Goodread AVG rating (actual): 3.66
Summary: / Add here
Everyone thinks Sophie’s sister, Nell, went crazy. After all, she heard strange voices that drove her to commit suicide. But Sophie doesn’t believe that Nell would take her own life, and she’s convinced that Nell’s doctor knows more than he’s letting on.
As Sophie starts to piece together Nell’s last days, every lead ends in a web of lies. And the deeper Sophie digs, the more danger she’s in—because now she’s hearing the same haunting whispers. Sophie’s starting to think she’s going crazy too. Or worse, that maybe she’s not….

My POV.

My feelings:
To be honest, I thought this book would have me all crazy and feeling lost, and scared and with my heart beating like a crazy.
And it did.
And it wasn't a bad thing.
I really need to say that The murmurings isn't just about this girl who is probably crazy, It is also about real life and all the drama that it carries.
I felt, for sure, scared while reading some scenes.

The plot:
Though, the first half of the book wasn't really spectacular, it gave me a feeling that things will get better if I keep reading. I admit that sometimes I felt like I didn't want to keep reading, but I did and I feel really happy cause of that. If you have the chance to read it I have to tell that the plot gets so much better in the second half of the book. This is the where the creepy part starts... And the romance... heck! I wanted romance and even though it wasn't really necessary to make the story better, it was as good as I can tell.

The main characters:
Sophie: Thinking that her sister was crazy because of the murmurings and then listening to them by herself you can tell that Sophie is not the kind of heroine you're used to read about. She drove me crazy something and I really wanted to kick her more than once. But in the middle of all of this I admired her, because she was brave and she knew how to make me love her in the end.
Nell: Her role was really awesome! The girl who went to be super popular to be the crazy one and ended up dead... I, personally would love to meet her better.
Evan: He was cool as love interest, but he wasn't as swoon-worthy as I'd like.

The romance:
The romance wasn't an important part for the development of the story. I think that the book could be amazing without the love story. BUT I came to realize that Sophie needed love, she needed to be saved by love and that's why when I finished reading The murmuring I was happy to have a little romance!

The ending.
Good.
Yes, good!
I can't tell much more because I don't want to spoil anything, though, I really expected a little more. It not that I didn't like her, but the author has all the necessary things to make it memorable.

The cover:
FANTASTIC!!!! Her eyes are looking into me, screaming that she has a creepy story to tell me.

Final thoughts:
The murmuring is a great book that will let you watching from the corner of your eye thinking that you probably saw something creepy. It will make you feel that you can no longer trust mirrors.
For a creepy story, The murmurings was fast-paced read, well-writing and fantastic read.
