Book review: Darkest Mercy be Melissa Marr

Darkest Mercy (Wicked lovely #5)
Author: Melissa Marr
Goodreads AVG Rating: 4.13
Pages: 327
Summary: Add here
The Summer King is missing; the Dark Court is bleeding; and a stranger walks the streets of Huntsdale, his presence signifying the deaths of powerful fey.
Aislinn tends to the Summer Court, searching for her absent king and yearning for Seth. Torn between his new queen and his old love, Keenan works from afar to strengthen his court against the coming war. Donia longs for fiery passion even as she coolly readies the Winter Court for battle. And Seth, sworn brother of the Dark King and heir to the High Queen, is about to make a mistake that could cost his life.
Love, despair, and betrayal ignite the Faery Courts, and in the final conflict, some will win . . . and some will lose "everything."

My thoughts.

Darkest Mercy is the last book in the Wicked Lovely Series by  Melissa Marr.
This book is about the last battle between the courts of the fairies against Bananach AKA--> War.
To start, I must say that this series is one of my favorites. After the Iron Fey, Wicked Lovely is the best series about fey I have read.
The author takes us to the dark and elegant world of fairies. Summer Court, Winter and Dark Court, as well as the incredible scenery of Faerie.
One of the hardest things to write my opinion about the books that I liked most, is being able to say exactly what I feel, because my punctuation for a book is based only on what "that" book made me feel. And Darkest Mercy definitely made me feel many good things.
Among those good things, I felt very curious and in love with the characters, so well created in this wonderful story.
I loved the different changes in the POV that made the author. As you must know the previous books in the series are not narrated from the same perspective. So this story had to close each of the previously love stories.
As always my favorite was Aislin’s POV. Seth began to become a mystery, something I really loved it! Because he wasn’t the same guy from the first book.
We also know a more romantic side of Keenan. Donia, was still the strongest character and the best defined.
There are also POV of Irial and Nial well as an appearance of Leslie, absolutely necessary to close the last circle.
In fact, this book has been the most changeable, in terms of POV I've read, but that does not bother me, like other books did. I was Glad to know the outcome for each of the main characters.
The writing is beautiful and addictive, the characters much more mature and exquisite…
I have read many ends of series and trilogies and Darkest Mercy is one of the best of them.
This book made me feel excited and in love. This one made me believe in fairies.
Fully recommended.

  2. The flower on the cover is just gorgeous! So striking! And thanks for the review and that you mentioned you loved this series besides Iron Fey. I haven't read either but this makes me want to read both.
