Summary: She doesn't see dead people. She senses when someone near her is about to die. And when that happens, a force beyond her control compels her to scream bloody murder. Literally.
Kaylee
just wants to enjoy having caught the attention of the hottest guy in
school. But a normal date is hard to come by when Nash seems to know
more about her need to scream than she does. And when classmates start
dropping dead for no apparent reason, only Kaylee knows who'll be next
This book took me to a place I hadn't explored before, where the Author let us met the Bansshe of mythology AKA--> Bean Sidhes, women known as "the Heralds of death". Kaylee is one of them -but she didn't know it- until a wave of unexpected death put her in the eye of the hurricane ...
This is how this story begins well established, where old legend become something new, modern and fresh.
The
book is narrated from the point of view of Kaylee, who is one of the
most "cute" heroines I've met, is strong, although she has lived with
lies most of the time. She's also real and is not depressed-type despite the fact that her
song-or-cry is a cry of pain for a soul who is about to leave this
world.
I
have to say that My soul to take is not just a book fast, agile, with
great action, mystery, good characters and a bit of drama. It also has one of the most romantic relationships that I liked. Although for my frustration I think the romance went too fast with no opportunity
for the players to enjoy a little bit of flirting. Nash is strong and oh surprise! Very sexy. And the way he and Kaylee take their relationship makes it look like a support and a good friend.
I note also the appearance of Tod ... guess who? An angel of death ... and much more than that, I think one that I liked most. The other characters are charming, perhaps typical, but were never out of place. And the end ... AMAZING! The
most unusual, I was not surprised ... even though I was not expecting
it, I never imagined that would happen, but it doesn't surprised me! What's wrong with me?Finally, I have to say ... I highly recommend it, It's amazing!
We are on the same page with this book!
