TBR Intervention Challenge (19)

TBRIC is hosted by April@ Books4Juliet Dani@ Refracted light, and Ayanami@ Whatever you can still betray

The goal of this challenge is to help each other (fellow readers and bloggers) manage our enormous and constantly growing TBR (To-Be-Read) List. The rules are simple and everyone is encouraged to participate. It does not force you to commit to more than what you can manage to read in a week or so, but participants are encouraged to read at least one book within a week. You are free to choose the book you want to read and commit to this challenge. You may post your entry every Saturday, at the frequency of your choice--EVERY WEEK or EVERY TWO WEEKS. However, we will sponsor this event regularly every Saturday.

Rules.

1. Post the book(s) you committed to read in your last TBR Intervention post and tell us something about it. Did you finish it? Did you enjoy it or not? Post the link to your review (if you have one).
2. Post a book that you want to read and already own. Pick something that has been sitting on your shelf for too long now (6 months or longer). Commit to read the book in the next couple of days or week.
3. Grab the TBR Intervention Button and post it on your blog sidebar so you will be constantly reminded of the challenge, making it easier for you to commit. This will also encourage other readers/bloggers/visitors to join the challenge.
4. Add the link to your post in the Linky below and make sure to visit the other blogs. Comment, encourage, and spread the love to our fellow readers.

My last intervention.
Unwind, Neal Shusterman
This last week I really enjoyed the books I read, starting with Unwind! I liked the style, the plot, and the character, it was different, but it was excelent at the same time. I also read Obsidian, I finally met Daemon, a total asshole, but yes... I loved him!
Now, I'm halfway to El bosque de los corazones dormidos (The forest of sleeping hearts), by a Spanish author and I'm loving it. I have had a good week!

This week TBRIC
The star, Javi Araguz & Isabel Hierro
Don't you think this cover is amazing? It was love at first sight when I saw it... I just didn't care anything but the cover, but then I read the summary and this good is for me!
So, here's my summary's translation.
The boy's eyes shone brightly, announcing the imminent rupture of Stillness. Lan knew that to touch a Star Walker was forbidden, but now there was no turning back and their fates were inevitably linked.
Centuries ago, a catastrophe in the Linde became a hostile place, since then, the survivors have learned to live isolated within safe limits, but often the world changes shape and people are lost forever. After a violent episode, Lan, a courageous girl from Salvia's clan, awakens in the desert and is rescued by his worst enemy.
A young man marked by a curse.
A town that hides the greatest secret ever kept.
A love so dangerous as possible.
A world whose surface is constantly changing ... where get lost is the equivalent of death.

  1. The cover of Unwind kind of freaked me out a little bit. Am I the only one?

  3. @ Shannan, I agree. The cover is weird, I used to ask if the book was scary!

@ Dani, I've heard La Estrella will be translated in English, but I don't know when!

  5. I was wondering too if the book was more part of the horror genre. It does have that feel.

FYI--I mentioned you on my blog as one of the blogs I think is lovely. :)

  6. These books look like really good books! Congratulations on reading the book that you wanted to read last week and reading them! I usually always tell myself that I'll read the books that I want, and then end up finding another book that I like better. ;) I love your blog background by the way, and I'm a new follower!
